General AI reasons well but guesses about careers. Large language models are probabilistic, so they cannot classify 40 million job titles the same way every time.
MapX gives AI structure: 2m+ companies, 16 functions, 420 specialisms and 7 seniority levels, every one classified the same way and read in 11 languages. In a blind test against a human-expert benchmark of 4,000 profiles, a frontier LLM on its own classified job titles with 62.5% accuracy. MapX’s hybrid of its own models and LLMs reached 82.5%.
